Jingle Bones, an e-original Christmas story featuring Mississippi PI Sarah Booth Delaney, offers all the Southern charm and zany adventure Carolyn Haines's fans have come to expect--and more.
Sarah Booth just wants the perfect Christmas holiday. Even with the dissolution of her engagement, she refuses to lose her Christmas spirit. But when Theodora Prince--an ex classmate and current Pastor's wife--comes calling with a year-old case and cash upfront, Sarah Booth must find the truth about the boys who ruined last year's Christmas pageant in time to stop them from doing it again.
Jingle Bones A Sarah Booth Delaney Short Mystery A Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery edition by Carolyn Haines Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks
As usual, Carolyn Haines delivers another wonderful addition to her Sarah Booth Delaney mysteries. I really wanted to wait until the Christmas season to read "Jingle Bones," but I just couldn't bear the thought that there might be a fresh, new story with my favorite Sunflower County gang that I wasn't reading. So I bought "Jingle Bones" the day it came out, and I was not disappointed. I think I may read it again around the holidays, though. For fans of Sarah Booth, "Jingle Bones" provides everything that we have come to expect from this series. Most of our favorite characters make an appearance (human and animal alike). We get to follow Sarah Booth and Tinkie as they investigate the theft of a baby Jesus doll from last year's Christmas pageant at a local church. Yes, you read that correctly. I just love Haines' sense of humor, and I love that she adds so many layers to her characters. We also get to follow Sarah Booth as she makes new Christmas memories in the wake her recent loss. The character development is what I love about this series. Haines makes me wish that this cast of crazy characters really do live in Sunflower Country, and that is why I keep coming back.
For longtime fans, enjoy "Jingle Bones" while you are waiting for the next book in May. My only complaint is that I wanted more.

Jingle Bones A Sarah Booth Delaney Short Mystery A Sarah Booth Delaney Mystery edition by Carolyn Haines Mystery Thriller Suspense eBooks Reviews
This is a laugh-out-loud story written with Carolyn Haines usual descriptive genius! I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys southern, small-town humor!
Cute short story for the Christmas season. Sarah, Jitney and gang once again solve the mystery and get the bad guys. Enjoy the read, I did, looking forward to the next adventure of Sarah and her posse!
The only negative about this story is that it ended too soon. Carolyn's writing style keeps the reader completely involved. I felt as though I was right there chasing down the clues, laughing at the antics, and enjoying the Christmas spirit with friends...one friend in particular. Perfect short story.
Loved this one toooo..
The impish boys were humorous & a Well knoen truth for All to know that our "treasures/ Children " still need discipline..so they they wont get into real trouble , later.. such a Uniqr way to deliver that message..
It was such a fun read! It was "lighter" than the last one, and Sarah Boothe is making her way back to happy! I can't wait til the next book! It's gonna be a LONG time til May!!!
This is the first that I have read by this author. I thought I would like it better than I did. I have read other southern fiction and liked it but this book had just too much adult language for me and the jury is still out on the ghost character in the story. I have found that a lot of southern literature entertains such paranormal notions, to me this character is a bit much. I doubt that I read any more of these books although I can see that the author is acclaimed and won several awards. It is just not my cup of tea.
A wonderful, fun short story from the Sarah Booth Delaney series. The warmth of the Christmas holidays plus the mayhem we all love when Sarah Booth and Tinkie investigate a case. And, may I just say welcome back where you belong Coleman, WE MISSED YOU!!
If you haven't read the Bones series, this is a great introduction to the characters at a really great price. Enjoy!!
